BIOGRAPHY

B.S. and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering, the University of Istanbul, Turkey, 1980, Ph.D. in Organic-Polymer Chemistry, Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan, 1987, Postdoctoral Associate, Research Scientist and Research Leader at the ARS’ National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research in Peoria, Illinois, 1988-2008, and CD of ERRC, Pennsylvania, 2008-present. Research subjects are Vegetable Oil Based Industrial Products, including printing inks, paints, coatings, lubricants, biodiesel, hydraulic oils and composites. Have authored/coauthored over 250 scientific articles, 9 U.S. Patents, 2 books, and 25 book chapters. Invited to present her research findings at more than 200 national /and international scientific meetings.

Dr. Erhan has received several Agricultural Research Service awards and industrial awards including: Land of Lincoln Soybean Association Market Award; US Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service Distinguished Service Award; Federal Laboratory Consortium Award for Excellence in Technology Transfer; United Soybean Board Outstanding Achievement Award; and Oil Technologists Association of India KT. Achaya Award; Fellow, Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers; Fellow, American Oil Chemists Society; and the Federal Laboratory Consortium Laboratory Director of the Year Award.

Dr. Erhan is working in United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Eastern Regional Research Center (ERRC) as Center Director (CD)
