Prof.Dr. Kadircan Keskinbora

BIOGRAPHY

 

Born in Mardin, Turkiye in 1959. He has studied medicine at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine (Ankara). He became an Ophthalmologist in 1987, an associate professor in 1999, and a professor in 2007. He became the founding Dean of the Medicine Faculty at Namik Kemal University (Tekirdag, Turkiye, 2007) and contributed there till 2012. Then he has been doing a professor at Bahcesehir University, Faculty of Medicine (Istanbul).

He concluded his second Ph.D. in another area of medicine, namely “Deontology, History of Medicine and Medical Ethics” in 2006. He still is a professor at Bahcesehir University, Faculty of Medicine, and Head of the Department of History of Medicine and Ethics (Istanbul).

He has made speeches and presentations in quite many national and international conferences, scientific and informative meetings, and radio and TV channels as a speaker, panelist, or instructor. Many articles by Prof. Keskinbora have been published in various local and international periodicals.

He is a member of various national and international scientific or non-governmental organizations. He speaks Turkish, English, and Arabic.

Because of his studies on Avicenna (Ibn Sina), he was awarded the “International Avicenne Prize” in Paris/France in 2016.
